Resolved Question: As a liberal arts degree, what is a JD now useful for?

A record number of people this year in my city will graduate with a JD this year which is 2,100. (Counting Hastings, USF, Stanford, Berkeley, SF Law and Golden Gate). Not all of these people will earn an associates position obviously and more than half are not likely to end up in the legal profession. California has a total of 62 law schools and many of them are found in the cities and each graduate at a maximum of 410 people every year.
